Rob Lawrence
After school, Rob pursued an advertising apprenticeship in London, studied Geography at universities in the UK and Canada, and began working in employer branding with such corporations as Westland Helicopters, WH Smith, GM Healthcare, Mitel and the UK Audit Commission. He later expanded his career in Australia, founding a specialist agency in Melbourne and working with such organisations as Telstra, Santos, BHP, Myer and PwC.
Rob then applied his expertise to education marketing and branding, handling multiple international projects for such universities as Monash, RMIT, UniSA, UQ, UNSW, Deakin, UQ, Curtin, Macquarie and JCU, as well as other universities worldwide. These later included UCSC (Milan), Leicester (UK) and Auckland and Massey (NZ).
Rob became a respected global expert in education branding, focusing on market forecasting, offshore campuses, and future programme initiatives. Rob has similarly worked on major national education brands for Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and recently, Colombia, as well as projects for every Australian state.
Since 2000, Rob has produced more than 120 employer brand strategies and worked with every Australian university and numerous institutions globally. This has included developing over 50 offshore campuses. He has engaged directly with over 160,000 individuals through various forms of communication and is personally involved in all projects and reports.
